The product
From the moment an order ships to the moment a buyer changes a size specification. Five steps, and no black box at any of them.
01
When an order reaches a fulfilled state, Hudson notes it. No action yet — the window for a credible review has not opened.
02
After an interval you set — typically ten to fourteen days from dispatch, adjusted by destination country — Hudson sends the review request from the merchant's domain, not its own.
03
Every response is matched back to the originating order before it enters the system. A review with no confirmed purchase behind it is not accepted.
04
The verified review is written to the catalogue record against the variant — whatever your PIM holds, whether that is fit and fabric or voltage and torque. It becomes a data point against a known standard.
05
Your team queries by attribute. Which size runs short, which battery drains fastest, which variant is quietly outperforming its star rating.
Collecting
The request goes out under the merchant's brand. The customer sees the shop they bought from. Hudson appears only as a small attribution in the footer of the email.
Each review captures more than a star. The customer is asked about the attributes that apply to what they actually bought. None of it is mandatory beyond the initial rating, and none of it is fabricated.

Three merchants. One system. The footer is the only part Hudson owns.
The join
A review without a catalogue connection is a sentiment. A review joined to a product record is a reading. The difference is what Hudson draws.
When a verified response arrives, Hudson writes it to the catalogue: the exact variant, size, colour, season, fabric code, supplier, and price band. From that point, the words the customer used belong to a known object — not a product page, a specific thing at a specific specification.
Review
“The leg sits a good half inch short for a 32L. I normally fit this length fine — something is off with the cut.”

When a new batch of reviews begins generating reviews that differ significantly from earlier batches, Hudson flags it. Useful when supplier or spec has changed without a catalogue update.

On your storefront
The review block that appears on your product pages uses your typography, your accent colour, and your layout conventions. Hudson does not impose its visual identity on your customer experience.
The only Hudson presence is a small monochrome attribution beneath the block. Everything your customer sees above that line belongs to your brand.

Bought the 32L as usual and the leg sits noticeably short for me. I am 6ft 1in and normally fit this length fine in most brands. Wash is good.
Good weight, comfortable waist, wears well after several washes. Will buy in another colour.

Every review in Hudson is published as submitted. There is no editorial queue where a merchant can request removal of a critical review. There is no suppression mechanism dressed as a moderation workflow.
If a review contains fraudulent content, targeted harassment, or a factual claim that is demonstrably wrong about a product specification, there is an investigation process. The outcome is either confirmed and the review removed with the reason logged, or the review stands, permanently.
This is the ground the platform rests on. A verification claim without permanence is not a verification claim.
How verification works →
A star rating, and answers to the attribute questions that apply to the category of what they bought. Nothing beyond the rating is mandatory. Hudson does not ask for demographic data, and it does not buy or enrich reviewer profiles.
Hudson reads your catalogue and matches each review to the variant on the originating order — not the product page. Whatever attributes your PIM already holds are the attributes the review is filed against.
No. It inherits your typography, your accent colour and your layout. Hudson appears once, as a small monochrome attribution beneath the block.
Yes. Yotpo, Judge.me, Loox, Okendo, Reviews.io and plain CSV. Imported reviews are marked as imported rather than verified, because Hudson cannot match them to an order it never saw. Import is included on every plan.
No. You can raise an investigation if a review is fraudulent, harassing, or factually wrong about a specification. The outcome is logged either way, and the reason is recorded.
